Into the Wild Blue Yonder!

A beautiful early morning flight today!  What a wonderful way to start the day!  After a length hiatus from aviating, it was exhilarating to find myself once again at the controls of a sleek aircraft soaring through the blue skies of sunny SW Florida!

After a few "aves" and a quick prayer to St. Joseph Cupertino, I made a 0730 hrs departure from Naples Airport (KAPF), accompanied by an awesome instructor check pilot, with my father taking aerial photos in the back seat, we soon were winging our way inland towards the orange groves and agricultural fields stretching to the horizon!

The air was smooth as glass and it was really neat to watch the patchy pockets of fog rising and melting off the ground as the sun climbed higher into the sky.

After a quick "touch and go" landing on Immokalee Airport's (KIMM) runway 36, we  headed south and circled over the inspiring town and university of Ave Maria before proceeding West to the coast.

Practiced some steep turns, then overflew the beach with a safe final landing back at Naples!  I had a great time and a great flight evaluation!

What an awesome view of the landscape from God's perspective! :)

Blessings to you and yours!

Your Brother in Christ,
Seminarian Shawn
