An Amazing Day! (part 1)

Woah! What an amazing and busy day! Attended the Sunday Angelus with Pope Francis and all of us here at the North American College received a personalized "shout out" from him! Then a bus ride to Castel Gandolfo, the pope's traditional summer residence. Had a magnificent lunch overlooking the mountain lake and then a champagne toast with Cardinal Harvey, (who served as Prefect of the Papal Household to John Paul II and Benedict XVI... I was even able to speak with him personally! What an interesting and kind priest!) to this new academic year out on the deck. He then took us on a personal and private tour of the Papal Gardens that is closed to the public! God is good!
