Dawn

 

Buongiorno!

What a beautiful sunrise this morning here… There is nothing quite like greeting the dawn, watching the sun rise over the Appenine mountains and the morning rays beaming down on the ancient towers and domes of Rome, while enjoying a steaming cup of coffee! 

Thank the Lord for these little gifts that He places in His creation!  How important it is for us to make time in our daily lives for moments to savor the peace and joy that God seeks to bestow on us!  In many ways, contemplation and meditation in prayer act as an oasis of calm in the midst of a hectic world.  This indeed is the remedy, for oftentimes, we can become overwhelmed by the demands placed on us.  Through it all, the Prince of Peace continually knocks at the doors of our hearts, gently calling us, seeking to strengthen us as we journey on the road of life.
