To the University

The daily walk from our home at the Pontifical North American College to the Pontifical Gregorian University has once again begun!

This vintage photo shows American seminarians at the NAC in their house cassocks walking towards the front gate.  It is a humbling privilege to think of all the young men here who have gone before us and have accomplished so much good for the Church and society- winning souls for Christ since 1859!

Now into our second week of studies, we are settling into the academic routine once again.  As a 2nd year theology student, I am taking the following morning and afternoon classes this semester:

Ecclesiology

(Canon) Law in the Mystery of the Church

Pastoral Psychology

Central Themes in Old Testament Theology

Sacraments I

Pauline Corpus (St. Paul’s writings)

Moral Theology

It looks to be quite a busy and interesting semester.  With all the recent events surrounding ordinations, the Synod of Bishops, etc., the days are passing quite rapidly!

God Love You!
