A Weekend in Florence ( Part 1)

Friday evening after classes, 4 other seminarians and I took the bus for an overnight excursion to Florence, Italy.  It's only about 1.5 hours away, and the journey is through the rolling hills of the scenic Tuscan countryside.  We arrived in Florence and checked in to our hotel, then explored most of the main sights of the city on foot, culminated in a long climb up to a scenic overlook of the city.  What a fascinating and fun time there in the epicenter of the Renaissance!
