Siena Weekly Recap (Part 1)

Well, what an exciting and busy week!  It's so hard to believe that we only have a few days left here in Siena and soon we will be finishing our language studies here and returning to Rome.  What a grace-filled time!  Below is a quick glance at some of our activities the last few days:

Our home in Siena these last weeks, as viewed from the nearby hillside parish

 Meeting with our parish priest.
Cena (Supper) with locals, the rector of the seminary in Siena, the Vice President of the Serra Club, and the parish priest in his rectory.  A wonderful evening with tons of food and conversations!

One of the Palio horses taking his morning walk as I head to school.

Procession into the Duomo of the different Contradas in their medieval garb.

The archbishop of Siena and canons
We hosted the rest of the seminarians who are staying with host families to spend an evening with us at the monastery.  We even managed to pull off an American-styled meal, with hamburgers fresh off the grill! A little taste of home!

God love you!
