Berlin Conference

Last week I attended the bi-annual Emerging Leaders Conference for Catholic-Jewish dialogue, this year held in Berlin, Germany.

It was such a wonderful opportunity to focus on the issues that effect both of our faith traditions and to discuss ways we can better society in light of our shared Judeo-Christian heritage.

Along with meeting other seminarians and Catholic laity from around the world, it was amazing to meet young rabbis and our Jewish brothers and sisters from around the globe as well!

We were able to tour many of Berlin's historic sites, and the reminders of the Holocaust remain seared into my memory.  We must all be vigilant wherever religious freedom is under attack.
